Came here with a group for a family and friends graduation dinner. We were not in a rush and enjoyed our time. Rum punch was tasty and strong. We were given complimentary plantains and jerk wings, that were to perfection! The table ordered curry goat, curry chicken, stewed chicken and salmon plates—food was HOT, fresh and we were even served by Chef Clive. We had a really great experience on a Wednesday night! Kudos to the Lish who was pleasant and juggling different hats.
The food was on point and amazing and fresh.. the lady working was welcoming and helpful.. the chef definitely authentic! Worth coming back for the oxtails alone.. but the beef patties on point too! And get the ginger drink( she mixed it with another one and made it purple )
Went right when they opened up and it was still a vibe! I had the Jerk Salmon, wasn’t too pricey and had a lot of flavor but not over flavored. They have a bar with all the games on and the staff treats you like family. Be aware if you get the jerk it’s gonna have a lil spice.
My girlfriend googled it and we had to go try it out. The place is huge! Never expected the inside to be as big as it was, but super well layed out and clean. We ordered the island shrimp, oxtails, peas and rice. The flavors were great and the spice was on point and the portions were huge! The staff and the cook were very friendly and inviting.
YUMMY!!! Amazing food!!! the surf and turf combo was bomb! Jerk snapper and brown stew chicken, rice and peas, plantains. I added the festivals and macaroni pie . Very flavorful, hot, and fresh. Perfect spice level. Good portion I am well satisfied and I can’t wait to try other dishes.
This place is 50/10 from the ambience to the food!!! It was worth every penny, even got to get some sauce to take home. That hot girl summer was everything and more but sip it don’t drink it. Oxtail fell off the bone, jerk salmon and chicken was juicy!!! I’m definitely coming back here!!!
OMG! I cannot wait to go back to the actual restaurant! I've been trying to go to Sweet Fingers for awhile. My friend took this chance to be taken out to dinner by his kids. I love oxtails of any sort. These are about the best I can remember! Including in Jamaica! Well seasoned (my friend doesn't like his food being too spicey, whereas I carry at least five different kinds of hot sauce to potlucks), with plenty of flavour, even with a milder spice profile, super tender, ooey gooey (is that a word?), lost count of how many pieces there were. since I occasionally make oxtails at home I appreciated more pieces with thinner slices (not too thin! 12"-34", about 1/3 of the size you buy commercially) that were easy to hold and melt-away tender.... enough for two people if you took a moment to eat anything other than the oxtails! Actually eating a very large breakfast of left overs as I wrote this! I am type one diabetic, and was home trying to recover from an accident, and so reluctant to eat too many carbs while waiting for blood sugars to come back down. So I'll have to wait for the rice and peas. Usually I just have a bit from some other family member so I don't go crazy. My friend brought me back the coconut vegetables. With plantains..... probably I would have been better with just a salad or a la carte, I make myself riced cauliflower instead of rice, but when the food arrived, I was just so ....charmed?..... by the oxtails I never even tried to pull stuff out of the refrigerator! I wasn't given a choice about the menu. My friend just said, "I'm bringing you the oxtails, do you want veggies?" I can't wait to try the currried goat. That's the beauty of family style! I guess you could say for dining, my friend(s) dined in in the restaurant, ordered to take out for me, and I had it delivered it to me! Yeah, you can kind of say I'm enthusiastic about this! I've had oxtails so many places, differed g styles, and made them at home..... these are the best! I don't know how much was spent... maybe 35-40? But there was definitely enough to have two meals. Their group was four: dad, grown kids, one grandchild. I was at home.
our family celebrated our youngest daughter graduation from 8th grade. we were warmly welcomed and cared for by Alisha. dining in was relaxed and we were in no rush. our food was impeccable and served up by Chef Clive himself! the BEST Jamaican food we’ve had in Cali. will absolutely recommend and return. brown stew chicken, delicious! curry goat, fall off the bone goodness. rice n’ peas- spot on!! nana was VERY happy with her curry salmon!
